MENTALLY IN PARIS Top - knitting instructions

The MENTALLY IN PARIS top is knitted in one piece from the top down. It's an essential piece in your wardrobe when the weather warms up. You can wear it in spring under a denim jacket or a sporty blazer. In summer, when it's hot, it's perfect worn on its own with a summer skirt, shorts, jeans, or more dressed-up trousers. You can style the top casually on vacation or dress it up for the office.

The top is started at the back neckline and initially worked in rows. The shoulder lines are created through even increases. Then the armholes are knitted. Finally, stitches are picked up from the shoulder lines of the back piece to shape the front.

The front part is created by even increases until the stitches of the front and back parts are joined.
From here on, work continues in rounds. A band with a perforated pattern runs vertically across the front. Two variations for the patterned band are suggested – patterned band A and B.
The ribbed cuff has side slits.

Techniques: Knit & purl stitches, decreases, increases (M1L / M1R), yarn overs, picking up stitches from the edge, casting on stitches, Italian cast-off, I-cord knitting.
