Knit a Scrunchie - Free Knitting Pattern

A knitted scrunchie is the perfect little in-between project — quick to knit, customizable, and ideal for using up small yarn leftovers.

Depending on the yarn, it can look simple and modern or soft and playful, and it can be wonderfully matched to your wardrobe. A small accessory that effortlessly complements everyday looks — and is just as much fun to knit as it is to wear.

YOU WILL NEED

• Some yarn — for the scrunchie shown, I used a yarn with approx. 390 m per 100 g.
• a hair elastic, small or large (2 or 4 cm diameter)
• a 3.5 mm circular knitting needle with a 100 cm cable
• a short cable with a 3 mm needle and end caps
• a tapestry needle
