I’ve got a soft spot for frills. They turn a simple, basic piece into something playful and feminine. FRILLS FOREVER is a top-down, airy raglan with cap sleeves and a frilled detail that lifts the whole design. It adds movement and character – that’s exactly what this shirt is all about.
For FRILLS FOREVER, the yarn is worked on larger needles than recommended, creating a summery, lightweight and slightly sheer fabric. Worked in breathable summer yarns like silk, linen, cotton, or viscose, it is perfect for warm, sunny days.

3 (3, 3, 4) 4 (4, 5) 5 (5, 5) cones of Tussah Tweed by BC Garn (100% silk, 273 yds / 250 m - 50 g), colorway sp11 brown-earth-mix or approx. 600 (680, 760, 860) 940 (1020, 1130) 1170 (1210, 1320) yds / 550 (630, 700, 780) 860 (940, 1030) 1070 (1110, 1210) m of light fingering weight yarn.

SUGGESTED NEEDLES / NOTIONS
Needles: US 4 / 3.5 mm 32” / 80 cm for ribbing (cuffs / hem), US 6 / 4.0 mm 32” / 80 cm for body, sleeves & ruffle. Or sizes to obtain correct gauge. The sample was worked on 4 mm / US 6 needles, which are larger than the yarn’s recommended size. This gives the fabric a light, summery feel and makes it slightly sheer.
One 32” / 80 cm circular needle in US 1.5 (2.5 mm) or US 2.5 (3 mm) to pick up stitches for the ruffle.
Notions: 8 stitch markers, 1 locking stitch marker, a tapestry needle.

GAUGE
20 sts x 30 rows to 4” / 10 cm on US 6 / 4.0 mm needles in St St, after blocking.
