Fashion and knitting have always played a central role in my life.

Experience from the world of fashion

I studied design and then worked for many years as a designer and buyer in the fashion industry. During that time, I flew around the world countless times and gained many wonderful experiences. I encountered new countries, people, and cultures, and realized that the world holds an incredible number of fascinating places—and that there is more than just one place where I could imagine living.

My fear of flying never disappeared ;). My knitting always came with me. Many pieces of my wardrobe were designed and knitted by myself while traveling.

noriknits stands for high-quality knitting patterns with a strong fashion sensibility and clear form. My designs do not follow short-lived trends, but are rooted in a timeless understanding of style, proportion, and balance.
I design knitwear for women who choose clothing consciously and enjoy investing their time and materials in pieces they will love and wear for a long time.

Fashion beyond fast trends

The idea of the style knitter defines my work:
Fashion is not created by blindly following trends, but by understanding proportion, personal style, and what remains wearable in the long run.

My designs are reduced, yet thoughtfully considered.
Form is at the center—cuts, proportions, and details are chosen to support the body without dominating it. I find inspiration in fashion, architecture, urban cultures, and the interplay of materials and colors.

Knitting as creation of value

Hand knitting means value creation in its truest sense to me.
Each knitted garment is a conscious investment of time, attention, and high-quality materials.

That is why my designs are created with longevity in mind:
Pieces that integrate seamlessly into an existing wardrobe, are not bound to a single season, and can be worn for years.

Slowing down, focus, and self-care

For me, knitting is more than a craft.
It is a counterbalance to the digital world, a form of slowing down, and a moment of inward focus.

My patterns are for people who find calm, clarity, and a conscious break in knitting—whether at home, on the go, or while traveling. Knitting can be taken anywhere: to a metropolis, to the sea, or on a train journey across Europe.
