Knitting - my very own personal luxury
A few years ago, during a trip to Paris, I discovered a wonderful little yarn shop near Montmartre: Les Petits Points Parisiens . They specialize in hand-dyed yarns of beautiful, luxurious qualities – and I was immediately captivated by their unique color palette.

The moment I step into the shop, that feeling of tingling anticipation begins. The shelves overflowing with color, the carefully selected materials, the tranquil atmosphere – all of this makes the visit a little ritual on my trips to Paris. I don't just buy yarn there. I collect moments, joy, and possibilities.
I always took a few strands with me to take a little bit of that feeling home with me and prolong the enjoyment a little longer.
Les Petits Points Parisiens has since moved to Anne's studio in Puteaux – the business has followed her, so to speak. Here she dyes her yarns with the same passion as before, and all her special colorways are still created in this studio. I still make a point of stopping by on every visit – it's become a little personal ritual.
Anyone wanting to buy her yarns in Paris can find them today in a special little shop in Montmartre: Rose Durantin . It's a place where French designers and craftswomen have come together to sell their handmade products. Besides Anne's hand-dyed wool, you'll find jewelry, accessories, clothing, and many other lovingly crafted items – a shop brimming with creativity and artisanal passion. It's a great place to find gifts!

Yarn as a travel souvenir
Buying yarn while traveling has something magical about it for me.
It's more than just wool brought back with you – it preserves the memory of a moment, an episode, a journey. Later, at home, a glance or a touch is enough to bring the time spent there back to life – much like with scents or music.
When I later unpack a skein I bought in Paris, the trip comes flooding back. The atmosphere resurfaces as if it were stored in the fibers: the streets I walked through, the café around the corner, the feeling of being somewhere completely different for a few days.
In this way, the yarn becomes a small time capsule.
And every project that emerges from this carries a piece of this precious memory within it.
Anticipation as part of luxury
Now we come to pure luxury. The luxury begins long before the first stitch, namely the very moment I take a piece of yarn in my hand and decide to use it.
I'm not just buying it because I like the color.
I'm buying it with a very specific idea in mind.
Looking forward to hours that belong only to me.
Sometimes I picture myself in a sophisticated hotel lobby, a delicious cup of coffee in front of me, the freshly cast-on stitches in my lap. I sit as a silent observer, letting myself be inspired by the people around me, by snippets of conversation, by their fashion, by the atmosphere. And I allow myself the luxury of simply sitting there, enjoying the moment, and watching the new design grow in my hands.
Or it's a spot by the window with an audiobook in my ear. Or a bench in a beautiful park. Or simply my sofa at home!
No matter where! It's these small, conscious moments that make knitting so special for me. It's the luxury of time for me.
This idea is what makes buying yarn so valuable.
It's a promise to myself.

The added value behind every project
For me, this personal luxury is a whole chain of moments.
It begins with the anticipation of the purchase and the feeling of having found a very special yarn.
It continues in the hours when the wool glides through my hands, accompanied by coffee, a delicious glass of champagne, a good book, or simply my thoughts.
And it ends with a finished piece that embodies all that time.
When I put on a hand-knitted item later, I feel exactly that:
The peace, the joy, the attention, and the memories contained within it.
That's why it's truly valuable to me. Full of value that goes far beyond material and technology.
This kind of added value cannot be bought ready-made.
You can only experience them yourself.
That's what noriknits stands for
With my designs and tutorials, I want to pass on this idea.
I don't just design knitted fashion, but companions for exactly these moments.
Every instruction is an invitation to take time for yourself. To slow down.
To create something of one's own.
noriknits is modern knitwear design – but above all, it is a space for inspiration, creativity and very personal luxury.
And that's what it's all about in the end.
Not about perfect stitches.
Not about speed.
Not about fast trends.
But it's about the joy of doing.
About the little rituals.
For time that belongs only to you.
Knitting. Time just for you. Pure luxury.
I'd be delighted to accompany you on this journey.
